Hell Hath No Curtains Fury Like A Woman Scorned

Who knew that the subject of curtains could cause such a stirring of emotion in me this week, there we are in some over-priced Ikea-esque shop at the weekend and we are getting some bedding and before you know it, curtains and wow. Full.Blown.Argument. It was ridiculous; I mean I admit to being a snob at the best of times but really, I didn’t know I was capable of being such an unreasonable monster. I am not too sure how it started but I think that my other half pointed out some curtains that he liked and I made a snide comment about them being naff, then he told me that I was a snob and my lips opened and I was furious. I think my other half was a little shocked to be honest, at the outcry and apathy I had with the curtains-something about not understanding me, compromise in a relationship, if we couldn’t agree on some curtains what else would we struggle with etc etc. Nightmare. Needless to say I am now allowed to make any interior decisions we have in the future. Because and I quote ‘Obviously feel so strongly about it.’
